Different Ways to Ask for Your Sale in Your Follow-Up Discovery Call

Scenario number one is you did ask for the sale. You've sent them the invoice that is still unpaid, and you're not sure why they aren't moving forward. They are nowhere to be found.

You have to follow up with this type of potential client consistently. However, you'll need different follow-up avenues, and you want to focus on urgency because urgency closes sales!

Listen in to discover this episode’s stories and takeaways, including:

  • Why you don’t want to send a proposal
  • How often you should follow up with clients
  • Creative ways to follow up after your discovery call

If you're ready to start taking on paying clients, but there's a phone call standing in your way, you'll need to learn how to get past that anxiety and make that discovery call!

Picking up the phone and calling can be challenging for many people, but if you can get past the fear of the phone, you can run discovery calls which can result in sales.

Are you ready to learn how to close more sales with discovery calls? If so, stay tuned! I am on a mission to help you close more deals and make more money.

Ask Focused Sales Questions in Your Discovery Call

The most prominent mistake people make in sales is they're doing a lot of talking and selling but not listening. Remember, in sales, you are here to solve people's problems. Some of the questions you'll want to ask are probing questions.

Probing questions are questions you ask when you're not sure what the other person is thinking or you need more information about what they're telling you about their problem. For example, I would ask a question about how the person is getting leads right now? This way, I can better understand their process. Remember, in sales, you should be doing more by asking questions and listening.

Listen in to discover this episode’s stories and takeaways, including:

  • How to create a pre-intention for your discovery call
  • The importance of showing your value
  • How to rebuttal the statement “I don’t have the money”
  • Why you want to asked focused sales questions on your discovery call

Are you ready to hit your sales goals for 2022? I bet you are! Get ready because I'm about to walk you through exactly how to set sales goals and targets!

When you go big on your goals, you start asking better questions. In addition, you're more likely to experience expansive growth.

Set Big Sales Goal Targets

You'll be ready for seven figures when you get to six figures. So I always encourage people to set big targets to plan ahead, ask better questions, and make better decisions based on the end game.

Because the most significant mistake people make is that they only think about short-term goals. I did this for years. How do I pay my bills? Can I get through the month? When you start setting targets like a CEO, you have to shift your mindset and start thinking more about your long-term success and the vision you want for your company.

Listen in to discover this episode’s stories and takeaways, including:

  • Why you want to set huge sales goals for your team
  • How to break down your goals into smaller goals
  • Implementing your smaller goals to hit your big goal metrics

You've probably heard that course creation is a fantastic way to generate income, but before you jump in and create your course, find out the exact strategy that I use to create my popular Persuade to Profit program, which has generated over $800,000 in sales!

Create an Online Course in Which You Have Experience and Results

Before you create a course, you want to be mindful to make a course only if you have experience and results on the topic. For example, don't create a course if you've only read a book on the subject; that's inauthentic and won't make for good course content. Instead, ask yourself, what results do I have for myself or other people? If you can answer these questions, then that is the material for building a course!

Listen in to discover this episode’s stories and takeaways, including:

Why you need to do your market research before creating an online course
How to sell your course before you finish creating your online course

Today I'm here with a new friend, Sarah Walton. I already like her because we both showed up in Ubon and cozy sweaters. Yeah! That's the best way to go.

Landing Her Corporate Job in New York City

Sarah became a corporate CEO in later years and had the gorgeous glass corner office. Her staff adored her, and her boss had complete confidence in her, but she was miserable. Although her family life was OK, her career wasn't fulfilling her.

"I was terrified about what my boss was going to say. I was terrified of what was gonna happen to my staff. At this moment I knew I had to break this cycle." Similar to the turning point she had in the grocery store, Sarah looked at the two paths in front of her and made a choice.

Starting Her Path to Entrepreneurship

As she started to create her own business coaching people, it quickly became transparent that many women needed her service. "There is not enough money for them to be happy and to be able to provide for their family."

Meet Sarah Walton

Starting out her career in Los Angeles, Sarah graduated from UCLA. She moved to New York City and ended up working for Lifetime Television's New Media department. From there, she worked hand-in-hand with Marianne Williamson on her community site and digital offering, The Miracle Matrix. Next, she went to iVillage, and then IAC where she managed a P&L worth hundreds of millions of dollars and a gorgeous team of people. Then she decided to become an entrepreneur.

Sarah started the online magazine Better Way Moms and spoke about the importance of life and self-balance. She then launched her first book, Redefining Success, and started traveling with her Redefining Success Event.
